Capturing the essence of Hong Kong and representing it on the world stage.
The lion dance holds a central place in Hong Kong's cultural fabric, symbolizing prosperity, good luck, and unity within the community. Its vibrant performances during festive occasions embody the spirit of tradition, celebration, and the harmonious blending of ancient customs with modern life in the city.
Note: the English font was custom made by me as an homage to both English and traditional Chinese caligraphy.
During Chinese New Year, there is the tradition of writing and putting couplets on the doors to express sincere blessings and good wishes. Thus, when this tradition is observed in tandem with the lion dance, it signifies a celebration of unity, prosperity, and the warding off of evil spirits (or bad luck for the tournament).
